KOBANΖ the co-head of the Democratic Union Party said that many world powers are convinced of the Kurds’ crucial role in Geneva negotiations in case they take part in.
This declaration comes in an interview ANHA held with Salih Muslim the co-head of the Democratic Union Party about the recent happenings in Syria and Rojava.
Muslim, commenting on the development of the Syrian crisis, said that the Syrian regime, opposition and world powers are not serious in seeking solutions to the crisis, and assured that these powers are convinced of the Kurdish role in ending the Syrian crisis, while some parties refuse Kurds’ participation since they do not seriously want to end the crisis.
About his meeting with the Russian minister of the exterior Sergey Lavrov, Muslim said’’ Russia is aware that the Kurd are part and parcel of Syria, and should be represented in meetings concerned with solving the Syrian crisis, and it supports the idea of forming a rainbow delegation or forming two delegations; one of Kurds and the Self-Rule Administration, while the other comprises al-Riyadh Group’’.
About the international attitude of the federation project, Muslim added that some world powers are adapting the Turkish attitude, as for the opposition its attitude is no different from the regime’s and pointed that Syrian components are only concerned with this project to decide the form of the future system they aspire to.
Muslim concluded that they will continue their resistance to promote their project, and will not wait consequences of the latest developments in Syria.
